Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of this website and any order you place with us. By browsing the site or buying from us, you agree to them.

1. Who we are
This website is operated by Lansakara Gem and Jewelry (Pvt) Ltd, trading as Lansakara Gem & Jewellery— a private limited company incorporated in Sri Lanka under the Companies Act No. 7 of 2007 (Company Registration No. PV 00370036) and a licensed gem dealer of the National Gem & Jewellery Authority (Dealer Licence No. 20268DL40936). Our registered address is 154/1B, Kandy Road, Kadawatha, Sri Lanka. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Lansakara Gem and Jewelry (Pvt) Ltd, and “you” refers to the person using the site or placing an order.
2. Our products
We sell natural Ceylon gemstones and handcrafted silver jewellery. Each loose stone is a unique natural item, identified by a 5-digit item number, and is photographed as accurately as we can. Because gemstones are natural, small variations in colour, inclusions, and appearance between the photographs and the physical stone are normal and are not defects. Where a stone has been treated (for example, heated), or where a certificate is available, we state this on the product page.
We describe every item honestly. Weights, measurements, metal purity and treatments are disclosed to the best of our knowledge, and where a stone is accompanied by an independent gemmological certificate we identify the issuing laboratory.
3. Prices and currency
Unless stated otherwise, prices are shown in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and are inclusive of any taxes we are required to charge. Delivery charges, where they apply, are shown before you confirm your order. We may update prices at any time, but changes do not affect an order we have already accepted.
The site can display prices in other currencies for convenience. Those figures are indicative only— they are converted from the LKR price at a published reference rate that we refresh periodically. Every order is contracted, invoiced and charged in Sri Lankan Rupees, and the amount your bank or card issuer debits may differ slightly once their own rate and any cross-border fee is applied.
4. How an order is formed
Placing an order, or reserving an item by phone or WhatsApp using its item number, is an offer to buy. A binding contract is formed only when we confirm the order and payment has been received in full (or, for a reserved item, when the agreed deposit is received). If an item has already been sold, is mispriced, or is otherwise unavailable, we may decline the order and refund any amount paid for it.
5. Payment
Card and online payments are processed by our payment gateway. We do not see or store your full card details; these are handled securely by the gateway under its own PCI-DSS-compliant systems. You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide.
6. Delivery and risk
We arrange insured, tracked delivery for purchased items and confirm timelines with you before dispatch. Risk in an item passes to you on delivery. Please inspect your item on arrival and contact us within 48 hours if anything is wrong — see our Refund & Returns Policy.
7. Returns and refunds
Because each stone is a unique natural item, all sales are final except where an item arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or materially not as described. Your rights in those cases, and how to claim them, are set out in full in our Refund & Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms removes or reduces the protections you have as a consumer under Sri Lankan law, including the Consumer Affairs Authority Act No. 9 of 2003. Those rights always apply, whatever these terms say.
9. Intellectual property
The Lansakara name, logo, photographs, and site content are our property or used with permission and are protected under the Intellectual Property Act No. 36 of 2003. You may not reproduce or use them commercially without our written consent.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
